Position Description

Although we are a growing congregation we are not yet in a position to fund a full time salary. We would be looking for someone who is willing to serve bi-vocationally or who can raise supplemental support.

We are a warm, unaffiliated country church in Goulais River, just 25 minutes north of SAult Ste Marie, in Northern Ontario. We are a group of 30–50 people and an unusually high number of children and young families. We’re seeking a pastoral leader who feels genuinely called to shepherd a rural congregation—someone who values biblical preaching, relational ministry, and investing deeply in people.

We believe healthy churches are led by a collaborative group of spiritually mature leaders rather than by a single individual carrying the full weight of ministry alone.

Our church is small but full of life, and there is real potential for growth as young families continue to connect and as the community responds to steady, faithful pastoral leadership. This is a place where a pastor’s presence truly matters and where long-term ministry can shape the future of the church.

We offer a peaceful rural setting, a close-knit community, and a congregation eager to be taught, discipled, and led.
