Position Description

Sacred Community Pathways
Part-Time – Male  Administrative Coordinator — Contract Position

Time commitment: 20 hours per week
Primary contact: Executive Director
Travel: Approximately every two months to support community programming for Sacred Community Pathways a non-profit society.
Contract fee: A flat $1,600 per month, payable upon invoice. SCP will not withhold income tax under this independent contractor arrangement. The contractor is responsible for their own applicable taxes and contributions. Any legally required GST/HST will be addressed in the service agreement. The contractor will also be paid a 10% bonus for co-facilitating workshops with Sacred Community Pathways.

Additional contract work or compensation may become available when SCP secures new contracts, with scope and payment agreed in writing. Additional compensation is not guaranteed.

Sacred Community Pathways is an Indigenous/ Metis -led nonprofit organization supporting wellness, cultural connection, and community resilience. Our work brings people together through practical learning, traditional knowledge, and compassionate support.

We are seeking a dependable, organized contractor with experience working in First Nations communities to support administration, bookkeeping, and workshops. First Nations and Métis applicants are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be comfortable working with an organization guided by Christian & First Nations values while respecting the beliefs and traditions of everyone we serve.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administration and Community Coordination
  • Manage emails, schedules, meeting arrangements, and workshop bookings.
  • Coordinate travel, workshop spaces, supplies, and registration.
  • Maintain organized records, attendance information, and participant feedback.
  • Meet agreed deadlines and provide regular progress updates to the Executive Director.
  • Bookkeeping and Financial Administration
  • Organize receipts, invoices, expense claims, and financial records.
  • Record income and expenses and help monitor program budgets.
  • Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and financial reporting in collaboration
