Position Description

Word of Life Canada is seeking a spiritually mature, organized, and service-minded leader to serve as our full-time Kitchen Manager at our Owen Sound campus. This role plays a vital part in creating a welcoming, safe, and Christ-centered environment through excellent food service and hospitality. The Kitchen Manager will oversee daily meal preparation and kitchen operations, ensuring quality meals for Bible Institute students, summer and winter campers, retreat guests, staff, and special events while demonstrating faithful stewardship of the resources entrusted to our ministry.

Working closely with campus leadership, staff, students, and volunteers, the Kitchen Manager will provide leadership in menu planning, food preparation, kitchen operations, food safety, inventory management, purchasing, and budget oversight. A key component of this position is developing and equipping others through hands-on training, encouragement, and mentorship, fostering a positive team culture that reflects Christlike character, servant leadership, and operational excellence.

As part of the broader Word of Life ministry team, this position extends beyond the daily responsibilities of food service. The Kitchen Manager will collaborate with other departments, support seasonal programs and special events, and serve wherever ministry needs arise as directed by campus leadership. Through hospitality, teamwork, and a heart for discipleship, this role contributes directly to Word of Life's mission of seeing every young person take their next step with Jesus.
