Position Description

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate a vision for MBC's Youth ministry consistent with MBC's mission
• Recruit, train, encourage and provide resources to lay leaders
• Support English Ministry Pastor in worship service especially in support of the Youth’s spiritual needs
• Develop and implement strategy for local evangelis%c outreach
• Nurture relationships among the Youth, develop fellowship and special programs
• Provide pastoral care and visitations
• Work with lay leaders and English Ministry Pastor to develop Sunday School and teaching curriculum
• Manage various administrative duties

Qualifications

• Baptised born-again Christian and devoted follower of Christ
• Proven experience working in and leading youth ministry
• Passionate about youth ministry and have a definite calling to the ministry in a local church and have a heart for evangelism among youths
• Able to relate and connect with youths, proficient in social media
• Strong leadership ability, good planning and organization skills
• Good communication skills and able to capture youth’s attention
• Strong biblical knowledge, godly character and good discernment
• Able to lead and to work in a team environment.
• Self motivator, dependent and able to excel with minimal supervision

Education

Recognized degree from an accredited bible school or seminary, focused in youth ministry or Christian education 

Language

Fluent in English.  Proficiency in either Cantonese or Mandarin is an asset. 

Part-Time Position - approx 24 hrs/week
