Position Description

Forest Baptist Church Forest Baptist Church, located in Lambton Shores and established in 1871, is seeking a full-time Family Life Pastor to join our leadership team. This spiritually mature male leader will bring his own passions and gifts to strengthen our church’s ministries and support Christ-centered families through discipleship, pastoral care, and leadership development. Our diverse congregation includes kids and youth ministries (Sunday School, Kids Club, VBS, Jr. High, and High School), and we are committed to equipping families in their walk with Christ. We also host a variety of community outreach initiatives, including support for Ukrainian families, a clothing ministry, and a Spanish guest worker ministry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral care and discipleship to youth and families.
• Lead youth and children’s ministries and develop new family-based initiatives.
• Recruit, train, and coordinate volunteers.
• Oversee curriculum, programming, budgets, and adherence to our Vulnerable Sector Policy.
• Occasionally preach and support broader pastoral duties.

• Loves families, youth, and children’s ministry.
• In full agreement with our statement of faith, values, and staff lifestyle policy.
• Biblically grounded and a lifelong learner.
• Has proven leadership, strong relational and organizational skills.
• Experienced in volunteer coordination and inter-church collaboration.
• Formal ministry education and ministry experience.

Compensation:

Salary is based on education and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is available after a probation period.
