Position Description

Richmond Hill (Chinese) Baptist Church (RHCBC) is seeking a Christ-centered, servant-hearted Associate Pastor (English Congregation) with a passion for Youth, Family, and CrossGeneration Ministry.

The Associate Pastor will provide pastoral leadership and discipleship with a particular focus on youth ministry, while also equipping families and fostering meaningful faith formation across generations. The pastor will work collaboratively with the English congregation, the church-wide Pastoral Team, deacons, ministry leaders, and volunteers to strengthen the spiritual life, unity, and oneness of the church.

Key Ministry Focus

• Provide leadership, pastoral care, discipleship, and mentoring for the Youth Ministry.
• Equip parents and families to nurture faith and spiritual growth in the home.
• Foster a CrossGeneration culture where children, youth, adults, and seniors worship, serve, learn, and grow together.
• Preach and teach the Bible and participate in discipleship and pastoral ministry.
• Recruit, equip, and mentor ministry leaders and volunteers.
• Collaborate with the Pastoral Team and other ministries to advance RHCBC's mission, vision, and church-wide unity.

Qualifications

• Mature Christian faith, godly character, and a clear calling to pastoral ministry.
• At least two years of ministry experience, preferably in youth, family, discipleship, or cross-generational ministry.
• Gifted in preaching, Bible teaching, discipleship, and mentoring, particularly with youth and families.
• Graduate of a recognized seminary with an MTS, M.Div., or equivalent theological degree.
• Commitment to RHCBC's Baptist faith and practices.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with a collaborative and servant-hearted approach to ministry.
• Passion for discipling the next generation and strengthening families in their faith journey.
• Proficient in English. Chinese language ability and/or understanding of Chinese cultural context is an asset, but not required.
