Position Description

Regeneration Outreach Community is a community of caring persons who, as an expression of Christian love in action, are continually striving to provide dignity to the lives of all those in need. Our core values of Love, Hope, Hospitality and Intergity are central in everything we do as we live our Matthew 25:35- 40, and Micah 6:8.

Food Procurement and Rescue support our internal programs, like our meal program, and our Marketplace (food bank). We also share with over 40 food related charities. In 2024 we procured over 1.5 million lbs of product through food drives and food rescue partners.

Our Procurement Coordinator will have the following responsibilities and qualifications.

Coordinator Responsibilities

• Builds relationship with vendors and partners
• Perform pickups and deliveries across the GTA, providing exceptional customer service.
• Load and unload shipments onto the truck, which may include manual lifting or “hand-bombing”.
• Inspect orders prior to shipping/pick up to verify product quality, and proper skid stacking/wrapping.
• Adhere to cold chain management and food handling safety regulations and report any safety concerns to the Logistics Manager.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules, adapting to changing circumstances and effectively communicating with the Logistics Associate and Manager
• Ensure the truck is fueled, cleaned, circle checked and prepared for the following day’s activities
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
• Collect and track incoming shipments
• Coordinate and oversee the schedules of pickups and drivers.

Other Responsibilities

• Attending meetings as required
• Represent Regeneration when required (i.e. presentations, booths, etc.)
• Collect Stories
• Support and participate in fundraising activities
• Other duties as required by Logistics Manager

Qualifications

• Reliable team player, self-motivated and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work with volunteers and scheduling activities
• Ability to multi-task and great time management skills
• Ability to work independently with strong organization and communication skills
• Enthusiastic and flexible
• Current Criminal background check
• Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
• Asset: Food Handlers Certificate
