Job Title: Executive Pastor of Ministries and Administration
Reports To: Lead Pastor
Classification: Full-Time, Salaried
Location: Leamington, Ontario
Position Summary
The Executive Pastor of Ministries and Administration is a key member of the pastoral leadership team, responsible for the alignment, development, and spiritual health of all discipleship ministries from birth through adulthood. This role requires a shepherd-leader who combines strong administrative and financial leadership with a deep commitment to community, discipleship, and servant leadership. The ideal candidate will be passionate about forming Christ-centred disciples, equipping families to live faithful servant-hearted lives in an intergenerational church context.
Key Responsibilities
Spiritual Formation & Ministry Oversight
- Provide vision and leadership for all age-stage ministries, including Children, Youth, Young Adults, Family Life, and Adult Discipleship.
- Ensure theological soundness and alignment with the Meadow Brook vision across all teaching and discipleship efforts.
- Develop an intentional discipleship pathway that reflects our values, such as Care & Connection, Spiritual Transformation, Mission, and becoming disciples of Jesus.
- Encourage a team-based approach to leadership, supporting staff and volunteers to lead in a spirit of humility, cooperation, and spiritual vitality.
Executive Leadership & Administration
- Provide executive leadership for the age-stage Ministries team, including budget oversight, goal-setting, and ministry planning.
- Manage resources wisely and with integrity, ensuring alignment with the church’s mission and stewardship principles.
- Build and refine ministry systems that support long-term sustainability, growth, and cross-generational connection.
- Utilize evaluation tools, feedback, and congregational input to inform strategic planning and drive ongoing improvement.
Staff & Volunteer Development
- Equip and empower ministry leaders through mentorship, coaching, and leadership development rooted in servant leadership.
- Participate in fostering a team culture that is spiritually healthy, collaborative, and missionally focused.
- Lead regular planning and review sessions with the Family Ministries team to ensure alignment and momentum.
- Invest in the spiritual formation and emotional well-being of both staff and volunteers.
Church-Wide Collaboration
- Partner with the Lead Pastor and the leadership team to integrate Age-Stage Ministries into the church's overall mission and vision.
- Participate in congregational life and encourage intergenerational community, mutual accountability, and spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with other ministries (e.g., Worship, Mission, Care) to support church-wide initiatives and events.
- Preaching & teaching classes and Sunday sermons as requested by the Lead Pastor.
- Participate in denominational engagement with ONMB as appropriate (e.g., resourcing, networking, retreats, and ministry opportunities).
Qualifications
- A personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ, marked by humility, integrity, and a heart for discipleship.
- Deep commitment to the mission, theological convictions, and community values of Meadow Brook Church.
- Minimum of 7 years of ministry leadership experience, including direct staff oversight and church ministry leadership.
- Demonstrated strength in administrative leadership, budgeting, planning, and team development.
- Experience in leading intergenerational or family-based discipleship in a church or ministry setting.
- Bachelor’s degree in theology, ministry, or a related field required
- Affirmation of the MB Confession of Faith and agreement to participate in the life of the local and denominational church.
- Willing to be credentialed with the Ontario Mennonite Brethren.
Working Relationships
- Reports to the Lead Pastor.
- Oversees the Directors and Coordinators of Children’s, Youth, Young Adults, and Adult Discipleship ministries.
- Collaborates closely with the pastoral staff, elders, and other ministry leaders.
- Engages regularly with the wider church community, including parents, families, and ministry volunteers.
