Langford Community Church is a non-denominational, multigenerational church rooted firmly in the evangelical tradition. We are a love God, serve others kind of church with a family feel.

Role
We are prayerfully seeking a Children and Youth Coordinator who will have two areas of ministry focus:
- Coordinate Sunday morning children’s ministry and nursery
- Run a twice monthly youth gathering
We currently have experienced volunteers running these ministries who will be happy to mentor our new coordinator. This position is a one year, renewable contract.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate Sunday morning children’s ministry and nursery
- Provide leadership to the whole children’s ministry program.
- Coordinate lessons on the RaiseUpfaith.com platform.
- Schedule teachers and confirm the weeks when they are teaching.
- Gather and supply materials for Kids’ church (Sunday school) teachers.
- Recruit new teachers.
- Participate in the Kids’ church teaching rotation.
- Run a twice-a-month youth gathering
- Plan and run youth gatherings that will develop Christian character and commitment in our youth.
- Invest in our youth informally on a Sunday to Sunday basis.
- Recruit a team to support this ministry.
- Fulfill administrative duties
- Meet with the Pastor to coordinate ministry activities.
Requirements
- We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a committed and growing follower of Jesus.
- Has the spiritual maturity needed to give biblical direction to our ministry and volunteers.
- Has Bible school training and/or experience teaching children about God.
- Will be able to work independently, proactively and flexibly.
- Has experience and aptitude with online platforms (such as Google Docs and RaiseUpfaith.com) and social media.
- Will participate in the ongoing life and ministry of Langford Community Church.
Hours
Ten hours a week, with salary appropriate to experience.
