Engagement Coordinator
The Engagement Coordinator plays a key role on the Royal City Mission team, helping our community stay connected and supported. This position combines steady administrative work with opportunities to build meaningful relationships, with donors, community members, volunteers, and staff alike. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, likes to keep things organized, and wants to make a direct impact in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.
- Employment Type: Hourly, Permanent (40 hours/week)
- Compensation: $23.66/hr
- Vacation: 6% vacation pay (equivalent to 3 weeks), paid out with each paycheque
Responsibilities and Duties
Donor Relations (Development)
- Maintain accurate donor data in Keela CRM.
- Prepare and send thank-you letters, receipts, and other donor communications.
- Respond to donor inquiries and share updates about program impact.
Office
- Manage correspondence, scheduling, and internal communications.
- Keep digital and physical records organized, including volunteer and donor files.
- Coordinate potential facility rentals: respond to inquiries, provide tours, confirm bookings, and ensure all rental documentation is complete.
Finance Administration
- Process accounts receivable and payable, including donation deposits and expense documentation.
- Enter and reconcile transactions with the Finance team.
- Ensure timely acknowledgment of gifts and accurate financial tracking.
Volunteer Engagement
- Coordinate volunteer intake, including reference checks and routing volunteers to the right teams.
- Maintain and improve volunteer systems and scheduling.
- Support volunteer appreciation and recognition initiatives.
General
- Work closely with staff across all programs to keep information flowing smoothly.
- Represent Royal City Mission warmly and professionally to community members, donors, and volunteers.
- Participate weekly in the Drop-In program to stay connected with the heart of our work.
Communications (as skills/interest allow)
- Support social media posts, newsletters, or website updates.
- Assist with creating simple graphics, photos, or written content to highlight RCM programs and events.
- Help develop stories and images that reflect community impact.
