Position Description

WHO WE ARE:

We are an organization that desires to reach all youth for Christ. Our new youth centre has pool tables, ping-pong, air hockey, large lounge areas, a Snak Shak and a place to eat a healthy snack and chat. We have dedicated volunteers and are starting to grow the ministry after Covid & the recent closure of our high school & local Café (youth hang out). We are supported by local churches where our youth are discipled & encouraged in their new faith.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Administration
2. Assuring the legal part of the Charity is followed & ensure integrity in all areas of our Charity
3. Oversee the Volunteers, Training, scheduling, programming & compliance with our Policies to protect
4. Work with the Program Director to ensure programming is consistent with our Vision & Strategic Plan
5. Work with our Board of Directors to ensure the Charity is growing, compliant with CRA & staying within the framework of our Vision to reach youth for Jesus!
6. Be accountable to our BOD
7. Work with the local churches for support financially & for volunteers & BOD members
8. Financials – Oversee our book-keeping, pay monthly bills, ensure donations are posted and annual Charitable Receipts sent
9. Ensure a relationship with our donors and our monthly Builders’ Bulletin updated
10. Run our Annual AGM for members
11. Work with local businesses to ensure our volunteer base and finances increase annually

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

1. A passionate follower of Jesus with a servant’s heart
2. Leadership experience is preferred
3. Skilled in team development, organization, and communication (or eager to learn)
4. Comfortable with modern Social Media platforms
5. A passion for working with youth and understanding their generation, needs, and lifestyle – willing to participate in drop ins and events
6. A desire to see youth come to know the Lord!
7. Comfortable with issues pertaining to addiction – drugs, alcohol, self-harm, family displacement, gender issues etc.
8. Experience with Administration and Finances
