The Opportunity
King’s Christian School (KCS) is now welcoming applications for the position of Principal, commencing August 1, 2026. The next leader of KCS will be a champion for Christ-centred learning, furthering our vision of Educating for Life.
A Bit About King’s
KCS is a thriving independent school averaging 350 Pre-K to Grade 12 students representing families from over a dozen local churches. In operation since 1977, KCS has flourished thanks to God’s continued blessings and dedicated families, staff team, and board members.

The Principal will
- Demonstrate strong personal faith and maturity, and commitment to living a spirit-filled life
- Effectively communicate with the Board, staff, leadership team, and KCS community
- Guide the direction of the school in alignment with the KCS strategic plan, mission, vision, and values
- Wholeheartedly engage in the life and activities of the school, demonstrating and providing opportunities for servant leadership, faith development, and genuine worship
- Prioritize relationships and authenticity in cultivating a strong community of staff, students, and families, and as a strong ambassador for KCS and Christian education to the community at large
- Navigate conflict management with emotionally intelligent professionalism, integrity, and grace
Qualifications and Characteristics
- Is an active member of an evangelical church, demonstrating a mature faith and commitment to pursuing a life rooted in Christ
- Pursues personal and professional development, exemplifying the ability to be a lifelong learner
- Holds a valid British Columbia teaching certification, or is eligible to obtain certification before August 1, 2026
- Is an experienced educator who understands and furthers the value of Christ-centered learning
- Is an inspiring, effective leader, community & team builder, and communicator
- Has a Master's degree in education or a related field (considered an asset)
- Has experience in school administration (considered an asset)
