Position Description

The Media Producer at Oasis is responsible for all aspects of setup, producing, directing, shooting, and editing video elements for various church services, events, environments and for online platforms.

• Location: 940 Elmhurst Road, Winnipeg, MB
• Department: Programming Team
• Job Type: 40 hours/week (Monday-Friday, regular Sundays)

Primary Duties (including but not limited to):

• Filming and editing Life Groups material weekly. Fast turnaround.
• Updating the website weekly with Life Groups Material
• Filming and editing Baptism stories. Providing digital assets to the Production Team in a timely manner. Uploading a digital copy to upload onto the website and providing a copy of the story and live baptism video to the candidate
• Filming and editing stories from our community. Meeting with the programming team to schedule filming. Editing videos for Sunday morning and uploading them online
• Filming and editing b-roll for various environments (Adult, Kids, Students, Young Adults, etc.)
• Filming and editing various elements for social media weekly (e.g., Father’s Day, Picnic, Christmas, Easter recaps)
• Editing b-roll for pre-service video based on season (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Christmas)
• Creating and adapting videos for series bumpers or service elements.
• Creating video elements for special events like Volunteer Appreciation night
• Maintaining studio space and video production equipment
• Work with our Graphic Designer on Social Media
• Knowledge, Skills, and Experience valued:
• Samples of work to display key competencies
• Experience developing social media strategies
• Strong knowledge of Resolve/Adobe/Final Cut or another video editing software (please indicate)
• Excellent time management and oral/written communication skills/
• Ability to prioritize and pivot on projects
• Servant hearted, inviting and encouraging of others, always asking “How can I help you?”
• Optimistic, not prone to gossip
• Church volunteer experience
