Position Description

About OneBook

Onebook exists to see every people group experience the transforming power of God’s Word in their own language. What started as a small project within Wycliffe in the early 1990’s grew to becoming its own organization, Global PartnerLink Society, in 2008. OneBook’s unique way of working towards scripture translation by empowering national partners to lead Bible translation, literacy, and development initiatives has been its success. Since 2008, OneBook has seen 71 New Testaments and 2 Old Testaments completed. But the work isn’t finished, we need fresh leadership to fulfill the mission!

The Opportunity

OneBook is seeking a President/CEO. Leading the OneBook staff, managing donor relationships and engaging new opportunities while staying connected with the needs of national partners across many continents will be no small job. This role will require a leader that is a strong and engaging communicator. Someone that can understand and convey the stories of our partner organizations and their needs effectively to our faithful donors in Canada. Travel across the country to raise support and connect with existing donors and future donors is expected. This role will require a seasoned leader—able to set and execute on vision, lead and grow the OneBook team, nurture donors and partnerships, and inspire generosity across Canada.

  • Fundraising: Champion fundraising efforts, donor relations, and external engagement.

Ideal Candidate

  • Mature, Spirit-led follower of Jesus Christ with deep personal faith.
  • Passion for Bible translation, literacy, and holistic community development. Previous experience is a strong asset.
  • Excellent communicator and relationship-builder with strong network.
  • Proven ability in fundraising, partnership-building, and donor engagement.
  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience, preferably in faith-based or international organizations and in effectively leading a hybrid staff of in-office and remote employees.
  • Strategic thinker with strong financial literacy and organizational acumen to corporate assets.
  • Fluency in English required; French or other languages an asset.
  • Humble, adaptable, and mission-driven.
