Position Description

Toronto CCM Centre is seeking a warm, relational, and energetic Youth Ministry Worker with a social work or youth-related background. The ideal candidate is someone who naturally connects with young people, builds trust, and supports their emotional, social, and spiritual growth. This role focuses on relationship-building, youth engagement, program support, and contributing to the development of the new Young Adult Project, which aims to strengthen the transition from high school into young adulthood through mentorship, life-navigation support, and community belonging.

Roles and responsibilities Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  1. Build meaningful, trust-filled relationships with youth that nurture growth, confidence, and belonging.
  2. Create welcoming, engaging youth environments where young people feel safe, supported, and valued.
  3. Support youth programs, small groups, and events that inspire spiritual, emotional, and social development.
  4. Contribute to the launch and growth of the Young Adult Project, helping older teens transition confidently into adulthood.
  5. Partner with families and volunteers to build a holistic support network for youth and young adults.
  6. Assist with communications, logistics, and administration to keep ministry life running smoothly and joyfully.

Requirements/Skills/Qualifications

  1. Diploma or degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  2. Experience working with youth in community agencies, schools, camps, or church ministries (asset).
  3. A heart for youth, with strong interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, and the ability to build rapport.
  4. Strong organizational skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
  5. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  6. Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred; Cantonese is an asset.
  7. Commitment to CCM’s mission and values, and alignment with its Christian faith foundation.
  8. Valid driver’s license is an asset.
