Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for operation of television cameras for a live broadcast
- Interact with directors, producers and talent & must remain focused at all times
- Will also operate audio console at times, being responsible for all aspects of sound during fast paced newscasts and other projects as needed.
- Operate television studio cameras in a live production setting.
- Operate Jib Crane for production
- Work weekends and holidays as necessary, in support of our 24/7 broadcast operations.
- Post Production using Adobe Premiere and approved software
- File Transfer Protocol (FTP) knowledge
Required Skills
- Knowledge of robotic camera operation and audio is highly desirable
- Ability to rapidly respond properly to issues that unexpectedly arise on air is necessary.
- Intermidiate knowledge and skills of Adobe Premiere suite
- Can work flexible hours and shifts including holidays and weekends.
- Must be an effective communicator and team-worker, able to work cooperatively with others, sometimes in stressful situations.
- Ability to follow instructions quickly and accurately, with attention to detail.
- Ability to operate Jib Crane
- Ability to use AI tools in production and post production
Education
- College graduates with Audio Visual Communications degree preferred or equivalent work experience
- Technical school or completion of college level technical courses a plus.
Required Experience
- Experience operating professional video cameras in live production. Experience using Windows-based computer software and Mac Computer
- Sound knowledge of switchers and production formats
- Studio set State-Of-The-Art management (Sound, Lightings, Prompter, Timers, Tally lights)
- Music show coordination and production knowledge
- Talk Show host production knowledge
- Adobe suite editing software proficiency
- File archives and repository management
- Storage disk management
- FTP and web file transfer proficiency
- Network and file sharing skills
- Broadcast specs and file type conversion proficiency
- Green/Blue screen lighting and production skills
- Pre production host screen setting on Black Magic, Tricaster and Vdesk
- Teleprompter configuration skills
Position Details
- Schedule: Full-time
- Salary Range : $65,000 - $72,000
- Reporting: To Production Manager
