Position Description

Galcom International Inc. desires to see the Gospel of Jesus Christ shared with every tribe, tongue, and nation. We multiply missionary impact through audio technology by providing durable technical equipment to ministry partners around the world.
Based out of our Hamilton, Ontario office, Galcom’s Communications Department is responsible for sharing the story of Galcom and our partners, engaging supporters, and raising funds for the programs we facilitate across Canada and globally.
We are seeking a full-time individual to serve in a dual role as Media & Outreach Coordinator. In this position, you will be part of a collaborative team working together to inspire people to become involved in spreading the Gospel.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as producer for Mission Compass radio show and video podcast
- Prepare and schedule social media content, including daily prayer requests and special projects
- Monitor and engage with followers across social media platforms
- Manage and maintain Galcom’s website
- Coordinate and maintain the corporate calendar, including speaking engagements, Galcom facility tours, events, and conferences
- Represent Galcom at churches and conferences throughout North America, as needed
- Prepare promotional videos
- Coordinate annual banquets, golf tournaments, and other public relations or fundraising events
- Assist with graphic design for printed and digital materials
Qualifications & Skills
- Active member of an evangelical church
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- Post-secondary education in media or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with editing programs such as Canva, DaVinci, and WordPress, and experience with audiovisual equipment such as cameras, microphones, and the ATEM switcher
- Experience managing social media platforms
- Strong communication and creative skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Ability to manage a wide range of activities and responsibilities
- Event management experience is an asset
Additional Information
- Full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
