Position Description

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Churches in Lancaster and Martintown are seeking a visionary and spiritually grounded Lead Pastor to guide them into a vibrant new chapter of ministry. This is a unique opportunity to serve two historic, welcoming congregations in the heart of Glengarry County—where faith, community, and beauty converge.

About the Location

  • Lancaster sits along the stunning St. Lawrence River, surrounded by the rolling fields of South Glengarry. It’s just 30 minutes from Cornwall, 90 minutes from Ottawa and Montreal, and minutes from Highway 401.
  • Martintown, a short drive northwest of Lancaster, offers a rich rural charm and deep community roots.

Together, these congregations form a shared ministry full of warmth, history, and a readiness to grow.

About the Congregations

  • Strong, collaborative leadership teams with active Elders (men and women)
  • Engaged in Sunday School, Adult Christian Education, outreach, and community blessing
  • Spiritually mature, stable, and eager to explore new ways of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ

A pastor who:

  • Embodies a mature and vibrant faith
  • Has experience leading worship across multiple congregations
  • Thrives in small-town ministry and builds meaningful relationships across generations
  • Equips and empowers current and emerging leaders for ministry within the church and beyond
  • Is sensitive to the Spirit’s leading and passionate about community engagement

Requirements

  • Ordained (or willing to seek ordination/receive into) the Presbyterian Church in Canada
  • Preference given to candidates currently eligible to work in Canada
