Children and Youth Pastor
Fergus, Ontario , N1M 1J4
Position Description
We are looking for an energetic person to join our staff team who is sold out to help young people both inside and outside the church meet Jesus and grow in their following of Him. There are significant opportunities to connect with young people in this growing and evolving community.
The congregation of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (“St. Andy’s”) of Fergus is a friendly and inviting church family, loving Jesus. Our 200-member congregation is a mix of seniors and young families who participate in both traditional and contemporary worship.
The town of Fergus is a vibrant community that partners with its sister-town Elora, being part of one municipality known as Centre Wellington. Centre Wellington has over 35,000 citizens and is rapidly growing and evolving. It is projected to grow to 60,000 people by 2051. While is a strong and strengthening local economy based on agriculture, manufacturing and tourism, the close proximity to Kitchener-Waterloo and Guelph has meant the town is also home to commuting residents. There is a new hospital, both a public high school and a Christian high school, as well as 6 elementary schools serving the community.
