Position Description
The Administrative Assistant Position will be a 20-30 hours/week paid position with a potential promotion to be the Executive Assistant or the Administrator depending on ability and performance.
General Description
The Administrative Assistant (AA) provides high-level administrative support to the National Executive Director and the GO International Canada. The primary function of the AA will be performing support functions including administrative activities, communication with missionaries and donors, event coordination, and providing meeting/training support. The AA will also be working with other staff members of the Gospel Operation International community to support the needs of the various mission ministries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all forms of correspondence including phone calls, voicemail, email, text messages and regular mail as needed to ensure a smooth flow of communication to and from the National Executive Director and the GO International Canada.
- Process donations and issue receipts on a regular basis.
- Handle light bookkeeping duties in consortium with the financial staff and the treasurer of the organization.
- Manage the distribution of magazines, newsletters, prayer news of the organization, and her missionaries and staffs in both printed and digital formats.
- Manage office supplies, keeps track of inventory and purchase orders as needed.
- Maintains the organization website and social media platforms of the organization.
- Attending all regular meetings, prayer meetings and taking minutes upon required.

- Must be committed to the mission and vision and statement of faith of the organization.
- Desires and ability to complement and support the Executive National Director.
- Must be a self-starter with an innovative approach to administration and careful attention to details.
- Must be comfortable working in a multicultural setting.
- Must maintain confidentiality and exercise exceptional judgment in dealing with sensitive and personal issues.
- Able to communicate in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma.
- Experience in Microsoft Office with Chinese processing, Web and other related applications
- Knowledge of Mailchimp and Quick Book is an asset.
- Experience as an Administrative Assistant in a church or business environment.
ACCOUNTABILITY
The Administrative Assistant is part of the GO International Canada staff and accountable to the National Executive Director.
COMPENSION
$20 - $22 per hour
