Commitment: Minimum of one meeting (2 hrs) every three months (Quarterly)

About the Role

Jesus Loves Families is seeking dedicated, mission-driven individuals to join our Board of Directors. As a Board Member, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our organization. You will provide strategic counsel, help steer our vision, and focus on maximizing the spiritual and community impact of our ministry.

This is a volunteer leadership position for individuals passionate about serving families and eager to use their professional gifts to help our organization grow.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Counsel: Provide wise, actionable guidance to the leadership team to help steer the organization’s mission and initiatives.
• Drive Growth & Impact: Actively participate in planning and executing strategies that expand the reach and effectiveness of Jesus Loves Families.
• Active Participation: Commit to preparing for and attending board meetings at least once every three months.

Desired Experience & Expertise

• We are looking for candidates who bring professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Law and Legal Counsel: Navigating non-profit regulations, compliance, and general legal guidance.
• Fundraising: Developing donor relationships, grant writing, and creating sustainable revenue streams.
• Media and Marketing: Digital strategy, content creation, brand awareness, and public relations.
• Community Engagement: Building strong partnerships with local churches, community leaders, and the families we serve.
• Event Management: Planning, coordinating, and executing successful outreach or fundraising events.
• Other Relevant Experience: Any additional professional background that can strategically contribute to the growth of the organization.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Location: Must currently reside in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA).
• Faith Alignment: Candidates must provide a personal Statement of Faith. Your theological beliefs and lifestyle must be in accordance with the core values and biblical foundations of Jesus Loves Families.
• Commitment: Understanding and joyful acceptance that this is a fully volunteer, unpaid role dedicated to serving the community.
