Position Description

Gateway Church is seeking a passionate and skilled Technical Director to lead and oversee all aspects of audio, video, lighting, livestream, and IT systems. This is a unique opportunity for someone who thrives in a creative, fast-paced environment and is excited to use their technical gifts to support impactful ministry.

About the Role

The Technical Director plays a key role in creating excellent, distraction-free worship experiences while building and leading a strong volunteer production team. This individual combine technical expertise with leadership, organization, and a heart for serving others.
You will also contribute creatively to Sunday services and help tell meaningful stories through video and media.

What You’ll Do

• Lead all technical production for weekend services and special events
• Oversee audio, video, lighting, presentation, and livestream systems
• Produce and manage video content for services and digital platforms
• Troubleshoot and maintain AVL and IT systems
• Recruit, train, and lead volunteer tech teams
• Collaborate with pastors, worship leaders, and creative teams
• Manage technical budgets, equipment, and upgrades

What You Bring

• Experience in live production (church experience is a strong asset)
• Strong knowledge of audio systems and working knowledge of video and lighting
• Leadership experience, especially with volunteers
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with ProPresenter, digital consoles, and livestream platforms
• Videography and video editing skills
• Basic IT and networking knowledge
