Position Description

Northstar Church is seeking a gifted and passionate Children's Pastor/Director to lead and develop our ministry to children and their families.

The Children's Pastor is a key ministry leader who helps shape the next generation of disciples by investing in both children and those who influence them. This individual must have a deep love for children, a heart for families, and a passion for equipping volunteers and parents to disciple young people effectively.

As a catalyst for family ministry, the Children's Pastor will provide vision, leadership, and oversight for all children's ministries. They will recruit, train, support, and encourage Kids' Church volunteers while partnering closely with parents, recognizing that parents are the primary spiritual influencers in the lives of their children.

Beyond the children's ministry itself, the Children's Pastor will be actively engaged in the life of the church and the broader community. They will understand that discipleship extends beyond the walls of the home and church classroom and will work to inspire the entire church family to participate in raising up the next generation to know, love, and follow Jesus.

The successful candidate will be a relational leader, a gifted communicator, and a team builder who is committed to creating safe, engaging, and Christ-centred environments where children can grow in their faith. They will demonstrate a vibrant personal walk with Jesus, align with the mission and values of Northstar Church, and possess the ability to lead with both conviction and compassion.
