Job Title: Primary Teacher
Reports to: Principal
Hours of Work: Full-Time/Permanent
Start Date: September 2026
Salary: $58,000 - $68,000

The Role:

As a Primary Teacher, you are ensuring that students are gaining fundamental skills in reading, writing, and math and leading students through spiritual formation during Bible classes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implement Lesson Plans: Delivering Ontario curriculum-aligned content with clarity and enthusiasm in core subject areas with the support of curriculum resources.
• Classroom Leadership: Maintaining a safe, respectful, and orderly environment based on MCA’s code of conduct.
• Spiritual Integration: Leading students in prayer or devotions, integrating the Christian faith into each subject area.
• Community and Parent Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and wellness, and participating in school-wide community events.

Requirement and Details: 

• Education: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or equivalent.
• Certification: Membership in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT).
• Faith Fit: A committed Christian who agrees with MCA's Statement of Faith and is active in a local church.
• Background Check: A valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
• Experience: Prior experience in a classroom setting is highly preferred.
