Job Title: Educational Assistant
Reports to: Principal
Hours of Work: 0.6 FTE / Part-Time, Contract
Start Date: September 2026 to December 2026
Salary: $25-$27/hour, 3 days per week

The Role:

As a Educational Assistant, you will ensure that students with diverse learning plans are gaining fundamental skills in reading, writing, and math, while supporting students through their spiritual formation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Targeted Student Support: Providing tailored academic interventions and accommodations aligned with Ontario curriculum standards to support core subject areas.
• Classroom Collaboration: Partnering with classroom teachers to maintain a safe, respectful, and orderly environment based on MCA’s code of conduct.
• Spiritual Integration: Supporting student growth in faith, leading small groups in prayer or devotions, and integrating the Christian faith into daily interactions.
• Community and Parent Engagement: Communicate effectively with teachers and parents regarding student progress and wellness, and participating in school-wide community events.

Requirement and Details: 

• Education: Educational Assistant (EA) Diploma, Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), or equivalent background.
• Certification: Valid First Aid / CPR certification is preferred.
• Faith Fit: A committed Christian who agrees with MCA's Statement of Faith and is active in a local church.
• Background Check: A valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)
• Experience: Prior experience working with diverse learners in a classroom setting is highly preferred.
