Position Description

Burlington Christian Academy (BCA) is a vibrant, Christ-centred educational community in Burlington, Ontario, dedicated to nurturing the whole child, spiritually, academically, and socially. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated full-time Kindergarten teacher. This role provides the opportunity to teach and guide students in a variety of subjects while fostering their faith and academic growth.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary Kindergarten Teacher, supporting students’ daily learning, social-emotional growth, and spiritual development.
• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate, and curriculum-aligned lessons.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing meaningful feedback and progress reports to parents.
• Foster a safe, joyful classroom culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and Christian values.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, guardians, and colleagues to support student success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and teaching certification (OCT preferred).
• Demonstrated experience teaching in kindergarten and/or primary school grades.
• Strong background in Language Arts and a passion for engaging students in reading and writing.
• A vibrant Christian faith and active participation in a local church.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Salary Expectations

• $45,000 to $75.000 Depending on Experience
